Suppose

Suppose that you were someone who was very far away, from your family and friends you were compelled to stay
Suppose you had a phone call and you didn’t even bother to take that call to find out if it was your wife or mother

Suppose that call you failed to take was urgent and important, maybe the news you get you will regret that you were so reluctant
Then suppose you had to take a trip to straighten out the matter, or to reveal the guilt  you feel by sending just a letter

If you could find within your mind a suitable excuse, with a good promise from your heart, sure no one will refuse
Think of the act and face the fact, and stop all the opposing, do not pretend, this is the end, so quit all of your supposing
