Your Future

Your future stands before you erase all fear and doubt

Intelligence is important that’s what it’s all a bout

Move on, success awaits you,make haste don’t delay

Education, and experience is what’s required  today

You think that you’re free and have nothing to fear

Away from your family and your friends are all there

You are sometimes challenged, but try not to forget

For some things you may do you will live to regret

Be positive and persistent try hard to make advance

If you want to be elevated, you have an equal chance

Much work is expected if you desire to reach the top

You will succeed if you persevere just give it all you’ve got

As time goes by you’ll be observed , that you may not know

Behavior and bad habits. Believe they will surely show

At all times you must be aware of what you do or say

For good work without manners,will always stand in your way

Retired

Once I was hired, now I’m retired because of injury and pain

I was not fired but was very tired of aggravation, sickness and strain

Now I don’t have to rush, no need to fuss doing this I have nothing to gain

Thank God I’m strong, could move around, but I’ll never be hired again

From day to day I worked very hard, on that job my choice was to stay

The paycheck was small, I couldn’t stall there were bills that I had to pay

That job I held tight, decided to fight patiently I toiled come what may, once

I felt like quitting, now I’m home relaxed sitting,all my job to do now is pray

The Garden

I walked along the pathway and discovered an interesting scene

It was a beautiful garden enclosed by thick evergreen

In the midst of this beautiful garden were colors of every hue

Perfumed  scented lilies and roses fresh with drops from the morning dew

The sunflower look up in the morning, facing the sunlight so bright, as the

Sun goes down in the evening, they bow down their heads for the night

I admire the variety of flowers, especially the dahlias and marigolds

With the daffodil and azalea borders, it was a beauty to behold

Every batch was carefully planted each one in a separate row

Giving way and room to the hedges , just as how they’re expected to grow

I’ll walk again through that pathway, some flowers may be faded and gone

But if I happen to check through row by row, I’m sure to find a beautiful one

Courage

                                                                         

As I was walking through the mall a little boy so frail so small

Approached me in a special way saying Ma’am how are you today?

I looked at him for a short while, just then we both exchanged a smile

He said to me we are alone, we have no food, we have no home

We go from one place to another, my parents are gone,and sick is my brother

Have faith my son, believe and  don’t worry, whenever you need help

God sends it in a hurry, there’ll always be someone to uplift you each day

All your fears and tears will soon hasten away, challenges will diminish

Problems will be finished, your pain and sadness, will turn into gladness

You’ll  be guided and protected each and every step of the way

Unselfish

Think not only of yourself, but also of others

In this world we all are counted as sisters and brothers

Someone may be sick and filled with much sorrow

But , don’t you know there is always a better tomorrow?

A kind word and a smile can surely relieve it

The good thought that you give you can really achieve it

So to conquer the test try your very best

Then  you can say ,with the help of God ,that you’ve finally made it

A Picture Book

  

There is a little picture book stacked away in each one’s mind

In this little treasured book different pictures you will find

The pages represent the years, the pictures every day

Looking back you tell yourself that there was always a way

Situations change throughout the years and things are not the same

Being unhappy of what you portray you have your own self to blame

When you review the pages examining the past

Those pictures that you cherish, I know you wish they’ll last

We now live in a new dimension, and it’s time to upgrade the art

By making wise decisions , to show that we are getting smart

Moving forward to the future will uplift us to the end

By doing so we’ll realize that there are mistakes we could mend

Perhaps

Perhaps I might be serious and do not like to speak

It does not mean that I’m furious or I am dumb or weak

For some unspoken reason I try to keep my cool

Some may think that I am stupid, but I’m surely not a fool

Perhaps someone may try to pry to find out what’s the cause

With all my charm I will be calm and say , it’s just because

Perhaps I may exchange a smile which comes right from my heart

I could be very pleasant and try to do my part

Perhaps I may be just in time to appear right on the spot

But, it’s just that I was guided, you can believe it or not

Some may think that I’m miserable and I’m a mean old witch

Perhaps one day they’ll need some advice, from this old nosy bitch

Sometimes

Sometimes we think about the past, the good times and the bad

Sometimes we think  about the joys and  pleasures new have had

We have traveled many places, strange people we have met

Good memories we cherish, that we never will forget

Today we can’t live in the past, it will never be the same

We must move forward cautiously, this life is not a game

Strange things are happening everyday, we often sit and wonder

Get up and get, it makes no sense to sit around and ponder

Let’s make the best of what we’ve got there’s no reason to complain

Sit back, relax and be jolly,to release all the stress and strain

There are many things we’d like to do or even want to say

But everyone is entitled to do things their own way

God guides and he protects us,as we go by from day to day

One thing that we must keep in mind, just don’t forget to pray

We should all be thankful, and know that we are blessed

Appreciate  and be satisfied and he will do the rest
